Can you believe it's been five years? Whether you recently joined our community or have been rolling with us for five, allow us to (re)introduce ourselves!
We are "Sisterpreneurs" (or "The Sisters" as our brother Eddie likes to call us), Dianne and Pamela.
A Quick Family History
Dianne is the second oldest, and I, Pamela, am the youngest girl and middle child in our tribe of five siblings. Dianne and I were born 14 months apart–I think they call that Irish Twins! 🙂, and grew up sharing a room and lots of sister secrets together. Being in business with one another is another beautiful dimension of our sisterhood and friendship.
Coils to Locs Wigs
We soft launched in November 2019, initially selling wholesale only in medical facilities to women with chemo hair loss. We're now in 27 hospitals nationwide and growing. We launched our online store in December 2022 to women with all types of hair loss and who just love wearing wigs because you reached out and demanded it! We are currently navigating our first global partnership in Canada through the organization Look Good Feel Better Canada.
We have a passion for and get joy out of being of service to you—Black women with highly textured hair—particularly where you were once overlooked in medical hair loss spaces. Thank you for joining and being loyal to Coils to Locs, believing in our mission, and supporting our growth. In spite of these challenging times, we're working diligently at representing your needs in hospitals, medical hair loss salons, and beyond. We appreciate you connecting with us and all the words of encouragement and support you bring to our journey and the CTL community.

Maintaining your first 5 years, or any years, in business is no small feat. There's still a lot of progress to make, but we're happy to be here celebrating this milestone and we're proud of our accomplishment! We also know there's no us without you so don't hesitate to reach out–your feedback, thoughts, and suggestions are more than welcome. That's the stuff that will help inform our footsteps as textured hair, alternative hair, hair loss, and health equity advocates for another five years plus!
And to all you sisterpreneurs (and brothers) and anyone in or thinking of launching a business, keep going. It all starts with that first single step. Then just keep stepping. Your passion fueled by your purpose and your proactivity will see you through—even when there seems to be no sail or wind at your back. We're living proof.
